iBlogŠ Public Beta 8 Series
This is the fourth (Public Beta 8) public beta release of iBlog, a handy utility by Andre Alves Garzia. iBlog helps you post messages to your weblog using blogger XML-RPC API. It's fairly easy to use, just sign with blogger, launch the program, input your username and password (only needed once) then, in the popup menu choose what weblog you want to post, type the text and click in post. everything should happens very smoothly, no more tedious login procedure, no more cabalistic HTML Interface, just plain and easy, like it should be!

Our major features for this release are:
Background tasks: This prevents your mac from locking while making requests, they go in the backgound now.
History feature: Now you can repost any post made with iblog.

Tools Menu: we have now a tools menu where we will put some tools we think are worthy.
Newbie Central: a ever growing community dedicated to help the new user. F.A.Qs, documents, how tos... sites for the new user... a simple database that can be updated from iblog. more info at http://nibbo.manilasites.com/newbiecentral
Included with this release is a sample applescript, and a minimal Newbie Central database (click connect in the newbie central tab to retrieve that most up to date version)
To use applescript query the application dictionary using script editor (or your favorite script editor)
We have only 3 tools for now:
Get current web page from explorer: Pretty simple, get the name and url from the frontmost window of your Microsoft Internet Explorer and put a HTML link in the post text.
Open the blogger admin homepage for current selected blog: this opens the blogger admin homepage for the current selected blog, but remember, this only work if you have a special cookie in the browser...
Send your blog url and name to Soap Dog Studio: This send us info from your blog by email so that we can check your blog and update our link database.

Can i try the program without a blogger account?
Yes you can, just launch the program, it will launch with demouser so that you see if it will fit you, wherever you want to revert to demo user just fill the settings like this:
username: iblogtest
password: iblogtest
and you'll login on blogger network as iblog test user and be able to post to iblog test weblog.
iblog test weblog is located at: iBlog Test
if the program and blogger suits you, you can get an account going to: blogger
